Investing in Women

The Investing in Women initiative supports women-focused projects led by our local partner organizations that address the specific barriers that keep women from achieving their potential as redemptive business owners.

The Need

We know that women are key to the economic wellbeing of their families, communities, nations, and the world. But many women face significant obstacles to achieving their potential as entrepreneurs, including:

  • Discrimination, legal, and regulatory barriers
  • Lack of education, professional development, technical skills, and training
  • Limited access to finances and collateral
  • Paternalism and lack of networking opportunities

How It Works

Matching Grants

The Investing in Women initiative offers matching grants for research, piloting, and accomplishing projects focused on addressing gaps in access for the women they serve. Partnerships can submit their project proposals to the Investing in Women global taskforce.

The taskforce employs a rigorous vetting process involving multiple stages of review and feedback. Eligible local partners must be fully engaged with Partners Worldwide and in good standing. Funded partners submit regular progress reports, tracking project development, financial management, and beneficiary impact.

Coaching and Mentoring

We're bringing together women volunteers, coaches, experts, and financial partners to team up with our partners and the entrepreneurs they support, helping to bridge gaps and provide the resources needed for impactful change.
